Quilt Drawing

$2,200.00

Who doesn’t love a good quilt? While this one won’t blanket your body in a layer of warmth, it sure will make you feel cozy on the inside. Inspired by my mother’s stain glass, which is inspired by her own quilts, this drawing was a real pleasure to make. The gradual layering of colors was a great way to test my patience and strengthen my meditation practice. It’s challenging to get colored pencils to disguise themselves as a different material, but I think they succeeded in this piece!

This work is made using colored pencils, paper, matte varnish on canvas. Fun fact! My dad, a seasoned carpenter, made this maple floater frame! It’s framed dimensions are roughly 21”x17”x2”.

Shipping:

This work will ship via USPS Ground Advantage. If you live outside of the United States, please email hello@scoutdunbar.com for purchase inquiries.

Care:

While this piece is coated with multiple layers of UV protected varnish, it is always recommended for artwork to be displayed out of direct sunlight.
